What are your office hours?

We're open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:15 am to 5:00 pm. We're closed Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Where is Wharton Dental located?

We're at 1802 N Richmond Rd, Wharton, TX 77488 — easy to find on Richmond Road with plenty of parking.

What insurance plans do you accept?

We accept most major dental insurance plans plus Medicaid and CHIPS. We're a provider for many plans and also file out-of-network claims. We commonly work with Ameritas, Assurant, Delta Dental, FCL, Humana, and more.

Do you offer financing if I don't have insurance?

Yes. We make paying for dental care easy. If you'd like to finance your care, consider applying with CareCredit, which extends 0% interest loans and terms up to 24 months for qualified applicants.

Do you see children?

Yes — we love seeing kids. We start seeing children as early as six months old.

Do you offer emergency dental appointments?

Yes. We make every effort to see emergency patients the same day. Call (979) 559-3401 as early as possible. For after-hours emergencies, you can also reach us at (979) 532-1920.

How often should I have a dental cleaning?

For most healthy adults, every six months. If you have gum disease, diabetes, or are pregnant, your dentist may recommend every three to four months.

Are digital X-rays safe?

Digital X-rays use up to 90% less radiation than traditional film and are considered very safe. We only take X-rays when they're clinically necessary.

Who are the dentists at Wharton Dental?

Dr. Phil H. Tiet, DDS (owner) and Dr. Monica Gerges, DDS work together to provide comprehensive care for the whole family.

Do you offer Invisalign?

Yes. Dr. Tiet is trained in both Invisalign clear aligners and Robert Gerty Straight Wire Orthodontics. Most adult Invisalign cases finish in 12–18 months.

What technology do you use?

We use digital X-rays, 3M intraoral scanners (goop-free digital impressions), intraoral cameras, and scent-air technology — plus modern operatories and comfort touches throughout.

What if I'm afraid of the dentist?

Many of our patients are! We offer sedation dentistry and a gentle, judgment-free atmosphere. We want every patient to feel relaxed and safe — our approach is always gentle and designed to be as pain-free as possible.

What ages do you treat?

Everyone. We see babies as young as six months and adults of all ages, including seniors.
