Giving Back
Wharton is more than where we work — it's home. Giving back is woven into how we run our practice.
Dr. Tiet opened Wharton Dental in 1999, and since 2002 we've been serving patients from our current location on Richmond Road — built where the old Dairy Princess restaurant once stood before it burned down. A lot of our patients have been with us their whole adult lives. A lot of our patients are the kids of patients who've been with us their whole adult lives.
That kind of continuity isn't something you can buy. It's earned, one visit at a time, by a team that genuinely cares about the people who walk through our door.
Our patients come from across Wharton County and the surrounding communities — Wharton, El Campo, Rosenberg, Hungerford, East Bernard, Boling, Louise, and beyond. We're proud to be one of the few dental offices in the area that:
When he's not at the office, Dr. Tiet is a single dad to two boys (11 and 17). Originally from Sugar Land, he graduated from Texas A&M and the UT School of Dentistry at Houston, then completed a General Practice Residency with the USAF Dental Corps in Omaha, Nebraska. He's continuously trained in advanced cosmetic and orthodontic techniques over his 24-plus years in practice.
Dr. Gerges is a Houston native who graduated from Houston Baptist University, earned her Master's at Midwestern University, and her DDS from UT Health San Antonio Dentistry. Outside the office she loves yoga, running, painting, travel, concerts — and her cat, Panda. Her fiancé Michael is also a dentist.
